		<abstract>Este trabalho apresenta o desenvolvimento de um simulador para o sistema de computação digital EAI-640, da Electronic Associates Inc. Trata-se de um computador binário de terceira geração e propósitos gerais, possuindo características flexíveis de entrada/saída e interrupções. O simulador foi implementado no sistema Burroughs B-6700 e possibilita uma expansão simulada da configuração do sistema real, tanto em termos de periferia quanto de memória principal, além de prover facilidades para depuração e diagnóstico. ABSTRACT: This work presents the development of a simulator for the EAI (Eletronic Associates, Inc) 640 Digital Computing System. The 640 is a third generation binary computer. It provides the user with an outstanding, general purpose, computing capability and includes flexible input/output and interrupt features. The simulator was implemented in the Burroughs B6700 Computing System and makes possible a virtual expansion of the real system configuration, such as peripheral devices and main storage, providing also debugging and diagnostic facilities.</abstract>
